Dercum’s Disease Awareness ribbon, logos, images and products were designed by Kelly SV. Some designs were produced and modified and purchased clipart and free clipart. We also have images donated with permission by artist to use, modify and sell for our Dercum’s Disease products.

 

The royal blue and gold/yellow with royal blue circles awareness ribbon is considered an official trade mark and a patent universal symbol. A special form of trademark reserved for governmental and charitable organizations. A trademark is a recognizable sign, design or expression which identifies products or services of a particular source from those of onwners. This ribbon and the colors in general, identify the wearer or promoter with the Dercum's Disease Ribbons and express moral support for Dercum's Disease Patiences,Family and friends. With these ribbons are most commonly seen during National Dercum's Disease Awareness Month in November. The first known use of the ribbon in connection with Dercum's Disease awareness was in the wintter of 2011, when Kelly Sands mailed out free ribbons to others sufferers along with awareness bracelets around the world. Legal actions may be taken agaist viloators of the Offical Dercum's Disease Ribbon and Logo.
